Tell me a secret...

This portrait of my daughter and her mini horse was taken with a Canon 60D and 70-200mm f/2.8L lens, and processed with Florabella LUXE Gypsy Photoshop action.

The great thing about using a telephoto lens is that you can be ready to capture a close-up of that perfect moment, even from a distance. The kids don’t notice you are photographing them, and you get great un-posed candid shots like these. Sydney Photos Canon 60D

A few favorite shots form my recent trip to Sydney Australia.

The Peacock photo was one of my favorites – Canon 60D with 70-200mm f/2.8L set to 200mm, ISO 320, f/3.5 and 1/200th sec shutter speed. A couple other shots from Taronga Zoo including the view of Sydney Harbour including the famous Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge.And 2 photos from the northern beaches (Palm beach and Bilgola).

Bird Photos: The Most Colorful Ones

I took these Photos of Rainbow Lorikeets in Sydney Australia on my recent trip. The couple were wild birds that visited my friends railing every day.

The photos were taken with a Canon 60D and 70-200mm f/2.8L lens (the close shot was at 200mm). For bird photos you want to use above a 100mm and in most cases 300mm and above. Somewhat tame birds are the exception to 300mm and above. I would have had trouble fitting their heads in the frame at 300mm 🙂
