You don’t need to be anywhere exotic to get great Photos. A field of of wheat and a nice sunset and you are good to go.
I passed through Ritzville WA the other day. A really small town west of Spokane. Not much there but as we pulled into the Hotel I noticed a wheat field and an amazing sunset about to happen. I grabbed my Canon 60D camera and tripod and left the rest of the unpacking for later. I tried out some different angles and took bracketed exposures for HDR imaging (which I will process later). Some of the best shots I took was using the mysterious “Black Card” technique (I demonstrate the method in my “Nature” video in my EasyDSLR Digital Photography Course).
The next morning was a beautiful sunny day so I took a few more photos of the field (and visiting butterfly) before heading on my way.
Who says you can’t get good photos in regular places? – you just need to develop the eye to find the shots.
